To our wonderful customers –

It is with a heavy heart we announce we will be turning our ovens on for the very last time at the end of the month. At the moment, we are honestly unclear what the exact day will be, but we will update you as we go through this week. We will make pizza until we run out of our supplies, as of right now we are looking at Friday being our last day if we still have supplies by then.

As a brand, we are fighters. We opened in Laguna Park, TX in 2019 just in time for COVID to be announced in our first year. The local lake was closed as a result of flooding, so that meant no tourists our second year and then we survived the lovely Snovid. It was rough! So, in the winter of 2021 we moved up to Little Elm with hopes and dreams of expansion and growth. Unfortunately, instead we faced constant issues in the space we leased, draining what little savings we had after the move. On top of this, we went from a business using one simple point-of-sale terminal to needing to embrace third-party apps for things such as delivery and ordering online. t was incredibly hard to find the right platform that allowed us to have online ordering options and to deliver our pizzas at a fair rate. Many times third-party apps are taking as between 17%-25% of every order! As a small business where every bit counts towards our survival, this is incredibly hard to swallow and something that many small businesses find themselves struggling with. Look around you – do you see many small businesses left?

However, this is not the end of the road for Slingin' Pizza. I started this adventure with a dream to grow it into a franchise where we can plant in many communities, find their specific needs, and fill them. My heart is to somehow partner to end homelessness, food insecurity, and help those on the spectrum in the communities where Slingin' Pizza finds itself, and that dream has never, and will never change. While this is definitely an unfortunate closing of a chapter, it is just that – a chapter in a longer story of what Slingin' Pizza will become in the world! To top it off, I set out to make some of the best pizza around, and I think we are in the running, for sure!!

Slingin' Pizza has always been run by a very small, tight knit crew. I want to personally thank all the people who have helped me get this far in making Slingin' Pizza happen. I have been so grateful to work with you all and receive your help. Thank you to all our regulars for supporting us – I will for sure miss seeing you all and serving you pizza in the best possible way we could!!

On a final note, please be patient with us as we try to sell the ingredients we have on hand without re-stocking. We will run out of toppings. We have many topping options and portals online, and are trying to figure out a solution to accurately reflect the stock we have on hand. Your grace and understanding in this is truly appreciated as we have never done this before!! We will fulfill your orders to the best of our ability and our aim is to make this as smooth a transition as possible.
